Such an approach neutralizes the effects of type 2 diabetes, what is called “diabesity”, the meeting point of blood sugar problems and excess fat. A little overweight and a genetic tendency to metabolic problems can lead to a cascade of health problems, including high cholesterol, high blood pressure, immune problems and hormonal imbalance. Eliminate Fat and Balance Blood Sugar Levels For Type 2 Diabetes

But now our body is facing an abundance of food and there is no famine on the horizon! It has therefore become incredibly difficult to maintain a healthy weight. As soon as we put on a tiny bit of weight, diabetes sets in and it’s almost impossible to keep the scales from climbing. This excess fat also leads to chronic inflammation. Fat tissue contains immune molecules, cytokines, which respond to excess fat as if it were an infection. When we, the editors of Reader’s Digest, heard about this intermittent fasting research, we quickly realized that it was a sensational discovery. We put together a plan that took into account the amazing research results with type 2 diabetes— intermittent fasting allowed subjects to lose twice as much weight and significantly reduce inflammation and insulin resistance — and we l ‘ve translated into a diet that would allow everyone to put this research into practice in their lives. We asked Dietician and Diabetes Educator Erin Palinski-Wade to create a simple and delicious menu that incorporated the research findings. She thus wrote the book 2-Day Diabetes Diet (2-day Diabetes Diet — DD2). You’re not counting carbs, calories, grams of fat, or anything else — all you have to do is follow the “power-burn” dietary approach. “Two days a week and” feed “the rest of the time.

On those days when you “burn on power”, you eat foods that are low in calories and low in carbohydrates, including delicious soups, stir-fries and homemade smoothies. You lose weight in high gear by eating only 650 calories on those two days without feeling hungry, without cravings, thanks to three satiating meals and a snack. And as for diets that are very low in calories, they have a rebound effect, because your willpower can only last for a while.

Results Of Our Type 2 Diabetes Test Team

To ensure the effectiveness of the 2-Day Diabetes Diet (DD2), we tested it on a group of people who were diabetic, prediabetic, or at high risk of developing blood sugar problems. Their results were impressive: a woman lost 5.4 kg (12 lbs) in three weeks, which halved her risk of developing diabetes. In another, fasting blood sugar fell 30% in six weeks. Our subjects lost an average of over 3 kg (7 lbs) in less than three weeks.
